Complete New Build Interior and Cabinet Painting Project
This Raynes Park project involved the full interior decoration of a newly extended property, including a new loft conversion, hallway, multiple rooms and a rear extension.
Throughout the house, bespoke built-in cabinets were constructed from MDF and professionally finished by our team. We specialise in both MDF spray painting and traditional hand painting, allowing us to deliver either a flawless sprayed finish or a premium brush applied finish tailored to the property style.

Professional MDF Cabinet Preparation and Painting
MDF cabinetry requires correct preparation to achieve a smooth, long lasting finish. For this Raynes Park property, all built in cabinets were carefully prepared before any finishing coats were applied.
Step A – Preparation and Priming
All MDF surfaces were:
• Filled and sanded to remove imperfections
• Edges sealed and prepared
• Primed with high quality primer to ensure adhesion
• Lightly sanded between coats for a smooth base
Proper priming is essential when painting MDF cabinets to prevent absorption and ensure a consistent finish.
Step B – Finish Painting
After preparation, all kitchen units and built-in cabinets were hand painted using:
• Two top coats of Little Greene Intelligent paint
• Fine brush application for a smooth, professional finish
• Careful cutting in and detailing around panels and edges
The kitchen units were completed in three coats overall, ensuring depth of colour, durability and a refined finish.
Oak Interior Treated with Osmo Oil
The internal oak elements were treated with Osmo oil to enhance the natural grain while providing long term protection. This created a subtle contrast between the painted cabinetry and the natural wood interior.
Kitchen Cabinet Hand Painting in Raynes Park
The kitchen units were fully hand painted on site. Hand brushing allows for greater control and ensures sharp detailing around shaker panels, corners and mouldings.
The result is a smooth, premium finish that complements the new build extension and overall interior design.
Built In Wardrobe and Cabinet Painting
Custom MDF wardrobes and built-in storage units were professionally finished to integrate seamlessly with the walls and architectural details.
All cabinetry was completed with:
• Even coverage
• Sharp panel definition
• Smooth brush finish
• Durable, washable surface
This project included full preparation and finishing from bare MDF to completed cabinetry. The transformation from raw joinery to fully finished hand painted units demonstrates the importance of professional preparation and application.
